U.S. Commerce Secretary Lutnick said AI firm Anthropic and the Trump administration have repaired a months-long dispute over national security, with Trump and other officials helping bridge differences and secure the company's support. The Commerce Department briefly imposed export controls on two of Anthropic’s top models in June and lifted them two weeks later after Anthropic implemented measures to address government national security concerns.
