The Ministry of Natural Resources said a major copper-gold discovery has been made in the Chatting area, Xuancheng, Anhui, potentially forming a new large copper-gold resource base in East China. The main orebody is preliminarily mapped at about 1.2 km long and 1.1 km wide; deeper mineralization remains undelineated. Initial estimates indicate copper potential equivalent to several deposits each >500,000 tonnes and gold potential exceeding more than ten deposits each >20 tonnes; reserves have substantial upside.
