China Air Transport Association (CATA) is leading a dedicated group standard on ticket refunds and changes, planned for publication and implementation within the year. The standard will set explicit refund/change requirements and obliges all ticketing platforms and airlines’ official channels to proactively disclose refund fees, restrictions and free-change scenarios before payment through prominent font, mandatory pop-ups, dedicated labels and pre-purchase notices, addressing hidden or unclear rules and ensuring passengers are informed.
