Baltic Dry Index (BDI) rose 50 points (1.8%) to 2,841 on the day but fell 0.8% for the week. Capesize index (BCI) gained 123 points (2.8%) to 4,552 for a second daily advance; weekly +0.3%. Capesize average daily earnings rose dlr 1,118 to dlr 37,785/day. Panamax index (BPI) added 15 points (0.7%) to 2,103, ending a seven-day decline; weekly -5.6%. Panamax average daily earnings rose dlr 138 to dlr 18,928/day. Supramax/Ultramax index (BSI) +3 points to 1,640. Handysize index (BHSI) +3 points to 874.
