Senator Bernie Sanders said last year Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took a $500m yacht to Venice, held a $55m wedding and gave his wife a $5m ring while his effective tax rate was below 1%. Under Sanders's proposed 5% billionaire wealth tax, Bezos would owe $12.7bn but would still retain about $240bn.
