Meteorological authorities and the Ministry of Natural Resources' Geological Disaster Technical Guidance Center have warned this year's Typhoon No.12 raises the risk of geological disasters in parts of southwestern Jiangxi, southeastern Hunan and southeastern and northern Guangdong. At 11:00 on July 25 the ministry activated Level IV geological-disaster responses for Jiangxi and Hunan and upgraded Guangdong from Level IV to Level III.
