South Korea's KOSPI tumbled 466.06 points (-6.4%) to 6,818.35 at the close on July 16; the KOSDAQ fell 4.5%. SK Hynix slid 11% and Samsung Electronics dropped 8%. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 1,915.97 points (-2.79%) to 66,835.54; Kioxia lost 14%.
