On June 22, 2026 in New Delhi, Wang Yi, CPC Politburo member and director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, met Egyptian National Security Council Secretary El-Din. Wang said the international situation is undergoing profound, complex change and that China and Egypt, as important members of the global South, share extensive common ground and bear responsibility for regional and international stability. China said it is willing to strengthen coordination with Egypt within BRICS, the UN and other multilateral forums to defend the independence and collective strength of the global South, promote multipolarity and jointly advance a community with a shared future for mankind.
