Omdia cut its 2026 global display-panel demand forecast, projecting unit demand to fall 6% YoY and area-demand growth trimmed to 1%. The firm attributes the downgrade to Middle East geopolitical tensions and rising oil and memory costs that are lifting supply-chain expenses. TV-panel demand is seen down about 2%, while notebook-panel shipments are forecast to fall roughly 7.2 mln units. Major PC brands have raised prices 20–30%, adding pressure to the sector.
