The Baltic Dry Index (BDI) closed unchanged at 2,729 on Friday, but fell 8.5% on the week as vessel-segment performance diverged. The Capesize index slipped 33 pts (0.8%) to 4,107, down 16.1% week-on-week. Panamax rose 32 pts (1.4%) to 2,283, up 2.1% for the week. Supramax gained 9 pts (0.6%) to 1,642, a weekly increase of 3.4%.
