SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell downplayed the risk of mass employee departures after the company’s IPO, saying many employees are already wealthy and remain at the firm. The IPO was priced at $135 a share; employees who bought stock at much lower valuations could realize substantial gains in their brokerage accounts. In a CNBC interview on Friday Shotwell said those who don’t want to work shouldn’t be at the company.
