The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said on the 10th that in May 2026 China’s new-energy vehicle (NEV) market stabilized and recovered. NEV production was 1.554 million units and sales were 1.496 million units, up 22.4% and 14.4% YoY respectively. NEVs accounted for 56.9% of new-car sales.
