On June 9 CHINA and Georgia exchanged congratulatory messages marking the 34th anniversary of diplomatic relations. CHINA said it will view bilateral ties from a strategic, long-term perspective and, jointly with the Georgian president, announced the elevation of relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
