At the SNEC opening, Trina Solar chairman Gao Jifan outlined three technology stages for crystalline silicon and PV — 2024, 2026 and 2030+. He said the company will enter a second phase in 2026 adopting parallel TOPCon3.0 and THBC routes, and after 2030 move to a three-way synergy of TOPCon3.0, THBC and silicon-perovskite tandem cells. Trina reported its silicon-perovskite tandem module has reached 907W and said perovskite tandems have become the mainstream R&D direction after multiple iterations.
