ANTHROPIC PBC raised $65 billion in a new financing round at a $965 billion post-money valuation, exceeding OpenAI. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks and Sequoia Capital and was finalised within weeks, signalling strong investor demand; earlier reports said the company, after receiving multiple proposals in late April, had been weighing whether to seek new funding above a $900 billion valuation and entered intensive talks earlier this month.
