China’s new energy vehicle production, sales and exports maintained steady growth in April, according to official data. NEV production and sales reached 1.32 million and 1.344 million units, up 5.5% and 9.7% year-on-year, respectively, with NEVs accounting for 53.2% of total new vehicle sales. NEV exports rose 110% from a year earlier to 430,000 units in April. For the first four months of 2026, NEV exports climbed 120% year-on-year to 1.384 million units.
